FAQ's

What does a college admissions coach do?

As your college admissions coach, I serve as your personal guide throughout the college search and application process. From creating a balanced college list and developing an admissions strategy to reviewing essays, completing applications, and navigating financial aid, I'm here to help students and families feel informed and confident every step of the way.

When should my student begin working with you?

Students can benefit from college advising at any stage of high school!

Freshmen & Sophomores: Build a strong academic and extracurricular foundation while exploring future college options.

Juniors: This is the ideal time to develop a college list, begin planning applications, and prepare for senior year.

Seniors: Receive personalized support with applications, essays, deadlines, financial aid, and final college decisions.

Will you write my student's essays?

No. Essays should always reflect the student's own voice and experiences.

I provide brainstorming, structure, coaching, and detailed feedback to help students strengthen their writing while ensuring the final work remains entirely their own.

DO YOU GUARANTEE ADMISSION?

No. While I provide personalized guidance and expert support throughout the admissions process, college admission decisions are made solely by each college or university.

My role is to help students present the strongest and most authentic application possible.

Do you help with FAFSA and financial aid?

Yes! I provide guidance on the FAFSA process, explain financial aid terminology, discuss scholarship opportunities, and help families understand important deadlines. While I do not provide financial or tax advice, I can help make the process much easier to navigate.

Can you help with the Common Application?

Absolutely! I guide students through every section of the Common Application, helping them understand requirements, organize information, and submit polished, complete applications.
